An interested visitor to Whakatane over the holidays is Mr H. R. Robinson of the Hutt Valley. Mr Robinson who is now County Clerk to the Hutt County was previously well known as County Clerk in Wha.katane some 17 years ago. He expressed himself as amazed at the growth of the town and the general air of progress and prosperity in the district and recalled the fact that he held office during the most interesting stages of transition on the Rangitaiki Plains. He was also deeply impressed with Ohope and its popularity as a resort.
