TANEATUA GUN CLUB
CLAY BIRD MATCH LARGE ENTRIES RECEIVED The Taneatua Rod and Gun Club held a most successful clay bird match at Pekatahi last Aveekend. There was a large croAvd of A'isitors present to witness the shooting. Mr W. H. Semmens Avon his trophy and represented it to the club. It was Avon the second time by Mr S. F. Kerr. The trapper put through over 1000 birds in five hours shooting. Results were as under: — Match No. 1 5 Birds (2.") entrie)s: T. Stephenson ,11. S. Rieketts. and W. Hughes made the possible. Match No. 2 8 Birds for first year shooters (21 entries): T. Shepherd 1 (6 birds); J. Semmens., W. Aeniti K. Tebbutt R. S. Rieketts, J. Tebbutt. and A. Dunstan (5 birds each). Match No. 3 10 Birds (23 entries): J. Plamus 16 yds, W. H. Semmens 16yds, T. Stephenson 13yds A. Mitchell 13A r ds ? . D. King 13yds (8 birds, each). Semmens Avon the tropin* Avith 8 first barrells. Match No. 4 8 Birds NoA'ice Shoot (29 entries): J. Semmens, J. Plamus T. Wakefield R. S. Rieketts J. Butler, S. F. Kerr (6 birds each). In the shoot off Kerr Avon with Butler second. Match No. 5 10 Birds (19 entries): J. Butler F. Matchett (9 birds 5 v
each). S. F. Kerr and M. Matchett shot off for third prize, Kerr winning on his 13 birds. Kerr also Avon W. H. Semmens' trophy with 8 first barrells. Match No. 6 3 Birds (13 entries): A. Burgess mare the possible 5 F. Matchett 4 birds Avas second.
