PLEA FOR ASSISTANCE

QUESTION OF WATER SUPPLY

Waiting on the Whakatane. County Council last week Mr F. Ma by Sen.

pointed out that since the cloudburst at Ohope, IK months ago, it had been found impossible to tap the normal source of supply which fed the children's learn-to-swim pool. He asked if the Council would be prepared to assist in extending the existing pipe line to the dam which

was now cleared

Discussing the matter members pointed out tlint the pool was more a mutter for consideration of the Ohope Domain Board on whose property it stood. Under all the ciras much as the Comy cil regretted it could not see its way clear to take any action.
