SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL & DANCE BIBLE CLASS FUNCTION" On Frklaj 7 evening the Edgecumbc Anglican Bible Class held the final social for the year. There was a good attendance from all parts of the district including a bus load of young folk from Thornton. During the evening a presentation was made to Miss. Sanson and Miss Patricia Ferguson both of whom will be leaving the district next year.; Capt. Rogers made the presentation speaking of the benefit that the. Bible Class had] received through the loyality of these two members. Both suitably deplied. During the evening prizes were won as under: —Fancy Dress: Charlie Winters (Skeleton) } Pat Winters (Recketts Blue). ' Peter Ferguson most original (Chinaman) and Miss Judy Bunk and JNliss Helen Ferguson special prize l for best old couple. The judges were Messrs Perkins and Phillips. Music was supplied by Miss M. Robins Mr S. Pearce and A. Teesdale. and extras by Mr T. Law and Miss Hewish. During the evening Miss Judy Ferguson gave a piano solo (own composition) and Miss Pat Ferguson a Highland Dance. Auld Lang Sync brought the evening to a close at midnight. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss Nancy Ferguson and Mr T. Law.
