DOMINION-WIDE CONTEST * KX-'SERV IC EM FN INCLUDED The New Zealand Wool Board is running a knitting competition throughout the whole of New Zeajland? launching it on the Ist Nov--1945 with' the closing date for entries 16th February, 194.6. This is the first stage of a publicity campaign to publicise New Zealand's largest primary product and there is a competition for returned servicemen included. New Zealand has been divided into four Provincial i.e. Auckland Wellington Canterbury and and the prize winners in each district and competition will compete in a national competition. The competition for returned servicemen is No. B—anyß—any knitted garment or article. The prizes are :— Provincial Competitions Ist prize £7: 2nd £3; 3rd £1. National Competition Ist jirize CIS; 2nd £5; 3rd £2. The Board desires to make 'this competition known to as (many returned .servicemen as possible, as a number of them arc at the present time doing knitting and it will help in some small measure in rehabilitating' .some of these men. Entry forms are available at all retailers of wool and Red Cross Dejpots and the rules and competitions are printed on the. back of the entry form.
