Mr Te Hira Fcrgusson who is well known in the Whakatane town and district has joined the linn of Bridgers Ltd. as manager of their Footwear Department. Flight Lieut. Magnus who was demobilised from the R.N.Z.A.F. recently lias taken over the Petrol Station and. on the corner of George Street and the Strand formerly conducted, by Mr Ken Schofield. Mr Lennie has had five years experience in the Air Force including a long period in the Pacific Zone in the Solomons and the BLsmark Archipelago. Before the war he was Otago representative to the Texas Oil Company. It is his intention to develop and expand his new stand and with the agency for Austin cars and trucks which he holds lor the Eastern Bay, he expects to have new models for sale in January. His two assistants are both ex-Air Force, and experts in their respective spheres. Mr Lennie prides himself on his 'crew' and proffers a combined service to the community.
