CHRISTMAS IS COMING

CHRISTMAS is less than one month distant. The longawaited holiday festival is almost upon us, and yet we are so engrossed in our every day affairs that we are scarcely aware of its quiet approach. We can safely look forward to Christmas 1946 as being the happiest for some six years past. It is our first 'peace' Christmas since 1939. and there will be many happy reunions around the home festive boards which have not been possible throughout the weary war period. The approaching holiday is an historic o.ne which can be regarded as an omen for the future wellbeing of the world in the midst of the uneasy, unsettled and disappointing conditions which have followed World War 11.
