Experiments carried out show that one line morning the lane arose at 2.1U a.m. The song thrush Avas the next riser at 2.17: the blackbird next at 2.19. Then came the redbreast at 2.:>(); -willow warbler 2.1.'>; wren 2.50: gold crest M. 00: rook 3.07; great, tit tt.ls: chaffinch 3.17; missel thrush 3.20; and magpie 'A.2'2. The sparrow is fond of his bed. He doesn't get up until almost o'clock.
