WEDDING BELLS

SIMMONDS—CROPP Tlie marriage of Miss Rosemary Cropp only daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Cropp, of Awake.ri to Jacques Charles Simmonds ) eldest son of Mr and Mrs Simmonds. Wairoa took place on September 26 at St. Geor-! ge's Anglican Church, Whakatane. The Rev. Wilson officiated. The bride who was given away by her father, Avore a trained frock of ivory satin cut on classical lines and embroidered at waist and shoulders in silver braid. Her train-length scalloped veil of silk net daintily embossed, was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. A shower bouquet of shasta daisies, freezias and maiden hair fern was carried. Attending as Matron of Honour was Mrs R. Signal (Matata) who was supported by Mis& Ruth Redshaw and Miss Coral Haynes (Hamilton) as bridesmaids. All wore charming frocks of white silk frosted taffeta interspersed with rosebuds of scarlet and blue. Their bouquets were of scarlet zinnias with matching hair dresses. Little Patricia Cropp (cousin of the bride) made a dainty little flower girl wearing a frock to match those of the bridesmaids. She carried a similar posie. The. best man was Mr Kenneth Simmonds (Wairoa) supported by Mr Wally Burch (Wairoa) andi Mr Clarence Boyce (Palmerston North) as groomsman. The reception was held in th'tr Parish Hall where some GO guests assembled. Mrs Cropp received her guests in a smart suit of a henna shade with black accessories. She was assisted by Mrs Simmonds who wore a model frock of beige silk mororain with' accessories, to tone both wore, dafn'tv sp'^vs. Visiting guests were Mrs. Baty Mrs Boyce (Palmerston North) M'rs J. Cropp (Hamilton) and Mrs Price and her daughter Patricia of Auckland. Mr Sharp of Metro Hamilton was the photographer. The bride's going away frock was of midnight blue with black aeees- 1 Tories. The happy couple left lated for a tour of the North Island on their honeymoon.
