LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

MONTHLY MEETING

The monthly meeting of the League of Mothers was held in the Knox Presbyterian Hall on October '30. Mrs Gow presided over a fair attendance opening the meeting in the usual manner by reading the Rules and Objects of the League.

Mrs Sullivan gave an interesting address on the annual meeting held at Auckland during September.

A suggestion was made that a copy of the Rules and Objects of the. League be painted and hung in the Plunkct Rooms also that the League get permission to hang a copy of the Ten Commandments in the corridor of both primary and secondary schools.

Mrs Darvill sang two delightful solos "The Kashmiri Song" anc! "Less Than the Dust" being ably accompanied by Miss Margaret Bigelow. Mrs Campbell gave two very interesting readings ''The Came of Life and How to Play" and a humorous one. Afternoon tea being dispensed by Mrs Shaw and Mrs Suckling brought a very enjoyable afternoon to a close.
