NEW SCOUT UNIT
FORMATION AT THORNTON A meeting of Thornton residents last Tuesday evening unanimously decided to form a district Scout Troop and a Cub Pack. The meeting was addressed by the Commissioner for the district alter which a number of questions were answered. Mr D. B. Currie was in the chair. The committee elected comprised Messrs Wm. Arbuckle (chairman) } D. B. Currie j S. A. H. Adanv» and S. H. G. Jackson and Mesdames Arbuckle (secretory), Robb Adams and Jackson. Mr Don Scott was appointed Scout., master and Miss. Adams Cubmistress. It is hoped to commence, parades in the near future. The evening concluded with an enjoyable, supper served by the ladies.
