This traditional evening is linked with Scotland's, earliest history, and represents a legacy of the superstition which was once rife throughout the Highlands. On it, for once in the year the ghosties and bogles of the glens and hills were supposed to walk and no guid Hei'lan'mon would risk going abroad until the hour of midnight bad struck. The Hallo'een gathering will be the traditional burlesque of the supernatural and a happy evening of competitions for young and old. The usual warm Caledonian welcome is extended.
