THE "GOOD ENDEAVOUR" LEAGUE FOR YOUNG READERS ONLY

What ho what ho ma hearties. J ' Well, we've had quite a lot of good weather this week. I've been having two swims daily instead ol' the. usual one lately, and I find myself vastly refreshed as a result. Tar my tonhold on a moment ■ till I see what Butinsky's doing . . . Splice my braces lie's just finished chewing up my best Sunday shirt. Stilly I suppose it's as much my fault as his; I shouldn't have left it out where lie could see it. He's been rather naughty lately. The other I noticed that everythingwas suddenly very quiet,- and of course I looked around to.see if I could see. Butinsky. (Whenever everything is very quiet you can bet your buttons Butinsky is up to something). Sure enough there he Avas, having the time of his life licking tbe new paint off the front gate that I had finished paint_ ing only that morning. His tongue and face were all very green (that's the colour I painted the gate) 1? and he seemed to be enjoying his strange meal very much. But his punishment came j although not from me. Evidently lie couldn't digest the painty for that night he was very sick, and I know fo- a positive fact that he will never try paint again.

1 Hullo, everything is very quiet 3 again. I wonder what Butinskys' up to now. He won't be licking oil any more paint, but it's bound to be something just as bad. I think I'd better go and have a look, .Cheerio | for this week. P.T.W.
