KNOCKOUT TOURNAMENT Following are the results of the Knockout Tournament played on Saturday for the Whakatane Shield: Poroporo defeated Paroa 12 —4. Taneatua defeated Edgecumbe 10—7. Whakatane 13 defeated Awaken j 6—4. Poroporo defeated Taneatua. Whakatane A defeated Poroporo l.>—lo. Finals: Whakatane A defeated Whakatane B 13 —5. At the conclusion of matches Mr Haeu&ler presented the Shield to Whakatane "A" winners of the ( tournament. { All clubs are asked to note that there js to be a tournament for both! Representative and Club teams in Tauranga on Saturday, September t 29 and any intending to send through are to notify the secretary this wcc'k } as entries close on 24.
