THE STATE AND THE PEOPLE
Sir—A close study of the Governments Banking Bill which relates to the proposed industrial finance department of the Barfk of New Zealand reveals all too clearly that another powerful weapon has been forged to introduce the complete totalitarian state. ' New Zealand is now passing into, its secondary stage—the nationalisation of banking to be followed by a period in. which the public's financial* trans-* actions will have been funnelled through the bank of New Zealand. It is fully realised by world planners and plotters that the independance of the farmer is a great obstacle to them ? so the people must first be dispossessed. State owned batiks, plus a policy of would bring this about. The eminent therefore having acquired the banks; has only to follow a dictated policy of deflation in the postwar period to become possessed of all the securities of the land f and will then have a Rural Slave State j the members of which will be told they are to produce and will be permitted to sell only te the Government at a price fixed by the Government. This is also applicable to the small trader and manufacturer who are being rapidly swallowed up by the monopoly of high finance while the traditional skill and craftsmanship of the individ-< ual is being destroyed by the enforced direction of labour from its; natural course. We can realise why the economic policies of New Zealand and Australia are being linked together in the future as arranged for in the Australian-New Zealand agreement drawn up by . Dr. Evatt last year- It is time that the people of this country were enlightened with .regard to the context of this Canberra Conference Avhich was rati-t fied in a Parliamentary Star Chamber. It is no confidence that Socialists? Communists • Bureaucrats and the adberants of Big Business advocate the same policy for the land— "State Ownership." Ownership without control is a mockery it is a complete delusion that the "State" is the same thing as the people.. State ownership means centralised or collective ownership, with serf do ni for "all" but the. few Bureaucrats who would take over theNNational.creditt t nominally on our and invest it in collcctlvised farming. It should be noted that the policy of banking is not to be changed which indicates that the authority of the. design is the same international plot wfeich is at the same time seeking to establish a central World which will pursue the same plot against humanity 011 a universal scale.
