ASSISTING THE SMALL FARMER
THE very essence of co-operation is contained in the scheme .put forward by Mr I. Withy at the annual meeting of Suppliers to the Rangitaiki Dairy Company. In his Proposal to establish an Agricultural Machinery Department withm the company, we have a bold suggestion for interpreting coooeration in a wider sense and it is only by adopting and S such proposals that the fullest benefit will eventuaUy be made available to shareholders of co-operative concerns. The matter is being investigated. We sincerely hope that it will as a result, be successfully put into practice m the interests of the struggling small farmer on the Rangitaiki, and that once again our local Company will have pioneered a new avenue in co-operative farming,
