STRAND EXTENSION
THE Chamber of Commerce action in convening a meeting of Borough Council, Harbour Board and its own members for the purpose of discussing the above question is to be warmly commended. The conference must be forced to the conclusion that the reclaiming of the flats is the only logical way to expand the town in an orderly and systemised manner. All opinions therefore will be welcome in an effort to find a mutual and permanent policy for the benefit of Whakatane as a town.
