TE TEKO BRANCH The Te Teko Branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union held its last monthly meeting in the Te Teko Mission Hall, Mrs Pryor presiding over a large attendance. The meeting opened with the reading of the crecd. After routine business had been attended to ? the secretary for health reasons asked to be relieved of her duties and, her resignation was accepted with regret. The president thanked Mrs Smith for the. way she had so untiringly carried out the duties of secretary and presented her with' a vase. A similar presentation was "also made to the past president. The delegate Mrs gave a most interesting and comprehensive report on the Dominion Conference held in Wellington in July. Arrangements were made lor the Birthday Party to be held in the Te Teko Hall on September 11 invitations to be sent to other, Women's Organisations. The winners of the competitions were: Sausage rolls, Mrs Jainieson 1; Mrs Sanclilands 2. Flowers, Mrs Butler 1; Mrs Sandilands 2. The. serving of afternoon tea by Mrs Jamieson and Mrs Sandilands brought the afternoon to a close.
