WEDDING BELLS

FLAVEL—SHAW A prclty wedding was solemnised at the Anglican Churchy on July 14, when younger daughter of Mr and Mrs R. P. ShawM was married to John .only soni of Mr and Mrs G. Flayel* of Taneatua. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her - looked; chaining in a gown of cornflower blue, with matching hat and clover veil. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and shasta daisies with: daphne and touches of blue. In attendance as matron of honour was the bride's sister, Mrs Hutr ton> who wore a smart frock of French grey with - a top knot of blue flowers and veil of clover net. A flower girl ? , Atfne the bride's wore a figured rosefrock \yith top knot of pink flowers and net. Both attendants car-*-' ried posies o*f blue and pink flowers. The bride's mother wore a brown ensemble with a smart hat and a slioulder spray in autumn tones. The bridegroom's mother wore a navy ensemble with white accessor-* ies and a shoulder spray in pastel tones. Mr Arthur Shaw out the* duties of best man. On leaving the churchy Yvonne Zinsli presented the bride with a - blue satin horse shoe. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents where the usual toasts were honoured and thie> wedding cake cut. The happy couple were the recipients of many useful presents and cheques. They left Ety car for their honeymoon, the bride w, earing a tweed suit with) black accessories and a camel hair coat. They will make their future horn© at Taneatua.
