Credit to Whakatane A credit to Whakatane is the Blind Institute box on the counter of the Monte Carlo milk bar. Al- ! though the box has been there bamly a month it is already filled to the top with every type of coin, and must contain quite a useful number of pounds. A feature of the box is the fact that it has a glass front, and the contributions dropped in through the slot in the top can be seen inside. It is thought that perhaps this factor might partly be responsible. for the manner in which the box ha.s been filled <so rapidly.
