A FALSE IMPRESSION
X-.RAY PLANT EFFICIENCY MEETS ALL LOCAL DEMANDS "I have heard outside that the X-ray plant at the hospital is not adequate and does not come up to requirements/' said Mr A. McGougan? at the meeting of the Whakatane Hospital Board yesterday. "Is that so!" Dr. Dawson replied that the plant though not being of the latest, was quite capable of carrying out all the Avork required for the hospital. It Avas certainly necessary to send the more complicated cases to other hos.-. pitals, where the services, of a Radiological Specialist were available. The plant Avas doing all that Avas required of it at the present time. ' Mr Burt said he Avas glaid to have the supervisor's reassurance on the point as it would serve to correct a fairly Avidespread impression that the plant was, out of date.
