TOMORROW'S RUGBY GAME
RECOGNISING the handicaps and difficulties of the selectors and officers of the Whakatane Rugby Union in placing a representative team on the field tomorrow, we still maintain that there has been a serious laxity, indecision and want of forethought and action in the promotion of the fifteen who will represent this Union against the best Rugby combination in the Bay. Our standard in the grand old game may this year, be described as poor, but at least the team to contest the premier trophy in the area, should have been announced or tentatively in mind weeks ago, instead of being released the day before.
