Discussing the proposed reclamation of the tidal tlats immediately behind the Strand 'in conjunction with the Harbour Board's Strand extension scheme at the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce last evening? Mr R. W. Schofield said that there was every reason to favour the establishment of an aerodrome on the property known as. the Witchell Estate, It had been found he said •j > that many of the modern machines did not require the long runways which were considered necessary in the past and there was nothing to prevent a handy local aerodrome being built there.
