SCHOOL HEATING
SUPPLIES OF FUEL At the July meeting of the School Committee held on the Headmaster, Mr I. B. Hubbard in- ' ) timated that the repairs, to the furnace had been and the heating system was now. working well. The chairman (Mr J. W. Wilson) stated that one ton of fuel had lasted a week and calculated on this 9 basis s five tons of coke and live of coal would be necessary to last the whole te#*Son. He therefore suggested that It might be wise for them j in future years to commence laying in a stock during the summer months. Intimation was received from the Board to the effect that where, difficulty was being experienced in obtaining supplies of fuel, the Mines Controller should be contacted and asked to forward the supplies direct. It was however necessary >to order at least two tons or more. The committee decided to takj advantage of this information.
