I We have received the following notice from the local postmaster Mr W. A. Traslt:— In order to relieve congestion at paying offices normally in future Age Benefits will be paid on the 21st of each month. Unless an _ indication appears at the top of the advice, pensions and benefits will be payable as* follows:— Age Benefits on the 21st; Widows; Invalids Miners and. Maori War Benefits and War Police, aiftl ' » * • sundry pensions on the 23rd; Family Benefits on the 25th; and Warj Veterans' Allowances Universal Supr erannuation 5 and certain sundry! pensions on the last day of Jthc month. Should the main pay-day normally the 23rd, fall on a Saturday a Sunday or on a Monday which is a Post Office holiday, payment may be made on the preceding (Fri'day— if the 23rd falls on a Monjday which happens to be a departmental holiday benefits due. on that day would be payable on the preceding Friday and Age which are payable, two full business \days before the other benefits would be 9 payable on the preceding Wednesday. If the 23rd of the month falls on a Monday or a Tuesday which are not departmental holidays, Age Benefits wouljd be payable, on the preceding Thursday or Friday respectively. !
