CONFISCATION OF ARMS
SPORTSMEN will have read with considerable satisfaction the instruction of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Rangers and Conservators to return the fire-arms of all offenders under the Gaming Laws in the event of a conviction by the Court. The law of confiscation was one of the most hateful in the British justice code, and is a legacy of the dark ages savouring of the crude old. days of poaching and deportation. No more we hope will this double punishment of varying heaviness be tolerated.
