CARTRIDGES FOR FARMERS
TO KEEP DOWN PESTS That cartridges should be available to farmers during the shooting season, as well as at other periods was expressed in a remit from Wliangarei considered at last executive meeting ol' the New Zealand Farmers' Union (Auckland Province). It was explained that some suitable ammunition was needed by farmers at all seasons if they were to keep pests in check. Mr 11. W. Dunning (Rangitaiki) mentioned that he had applied for cartridges and secured them after n six months' delay. Another delegate suggested that if a farmer interviewed the local Stock Inspector it might help. The remit was approved though it. was emphasised that the scarcity of ammunition for civilian purposes during war time could not be overlooked.
