CATTLE DOG TRIALS
| MEETING AT TE TEKO EVENTS WELL SUPPORTED The twenty-sixth Annual Cattle Dog Trials which were held at the Te. Teko Domain recently proved to be very .successful. Entries in the dog events were well above the average and included a number of well known competitors from Katikati and Rotorua. An apology Avas received from Mr S. Petrie of Maungaturoto, one of the foremost competitors in past and a founder of the club. Ravoured with a fine day and a good crowd the events Avent oft' very well being capably controlled, by Mr C. Eivers and an efficient committee. The judge of the dog events was Mr C. Avhose decisions throughout met AA'ith the wholehearted approval of the competitors. Mr McKenzie has judged dog trials in many parts of the North Island > and the club is fortunate in having a man of his ability aA^ailable. The judging of the horse events was in the capable hands of Mr W. Scott of Rotorua.
