ANNUAL MEETING

LICENSING COMMITTEE

The usual annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Licensing Committee took place at Opotiki on Friday t June S a Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., presiding. Present were Messrs G. Moody, A. Young, F. Pile, A. Nicol and the Clerk, Mr Cole. An apology was received from Mr Graham. Prior to the meeting, reference was made to the passing of Police Inspector McLean, and on the mo, tion of the Chairman, a vote of sympathy was passed in silence to the bereaved family. The usual number of applications for renewal of licenses were made and these were all granted subject to certain recommendations by tlie Health and Police Departments. Counsel for applicants in each case guaranteed that the work would be done.
