ROLL OF HONOUR
PTE. A. I. ROULSTON
The death of Pte. Albert Ivor Roulston, as the results of wounds received in. action in Italy has been reported. Pte. Roulston. who comcs from a well-known Whakatane family was born in this town ? thirty-one years ago. He received his education at the Awakcri and from there commenced work on a farm in that district. Later he left this, employment and worked at the Paper Mills, where he continued up till the time of his enlistment in 1943. At one time he played senidr football for Rangit-aiki, while he also maintained a keen interest in shooting. He first, saw action in the Pacific where he was stationed for fifteen months. In January of, the present year he was transferred to the Ital- * •y ian front. His death was reported on April 17. Pte. Roulston ) was: the son of Mrs C. Roulston of Whakatane, and leaves, three Mrs T. Bowers Mrs J. Doust (Whakatane) and Miss; Myrie and three brothers, Owen } Colin and Reynold (overseas).
