WELCOME HOME DANCE
TOMORROW EVENING'S EVENT
Tomorrow evening a Welcome Home will be extended to returned Servicemen and women! at a Social and Dance to be held in the Winter Show Buildings. The Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry the 'Chairman of the County Council and the President of the Returned Services' Association will officially welcome all men returned since December last. Arrangements are Avell in hand for this function which will prove to be of the usual high standard. Social montc carlos etc. will be interspersed with the dancing. A most enjoyable supper is always provided by the following ladies' committees: The W.W.S.A., Women's Returned Services, Caledonian Society and the Red Cross Society. The hall is to Joe decorated as usual and in this connection all members of the committee and others willing to help .are asked to attend the Show Buildings this evening at 7.30. The committee would be pleased if anyone with flowers to spare will leave them at the hall on Tuesday or Wednesday.
The committee has hoped that the above function could be combined with peace celebrations and made a Victory Bail as well but events have yet to be decided, it is hoped that large members of the public will attend and make the Welcome Home Dance a truly representative gathering. __________
