TOMORROW'S PROGRAMME

OUTLINED

The district Scout Rally which is scheduled for tomorrow will be carried out as planned irrespective of any intervening announcements regarding the war in Europe. The committee has decided on this as the only course in view of the far-reach-ing arrangements that have been made. A& arranged the parade through the town will take place at 11.45 a.m. The Rally will be held in the Show Grounds during the afternoon commencing at, 1.30 p.m. The programme for the week-end is set out as. under: — 1.30 p.m. Parade of all units. 1.35 p.m. Inspection. 1.50 p.m. March Past. 2 p.m. Drum Display Tauranga Pipe Band. RALLY PROGRAMME Scout Events Tests : Ambulance; Signalling (Semophore); Signalling (Morse); Pioneering; Tenderfoot Tests; Signal Tower; Wall-scaling. Cub EventsGrand Howl: Jungle Dance 1 : Signalling' (Semophore); Cocoa Making; Ambulance; Nature Study; Lair Building (continuous). 4.30 p.m. Presentation of trophies. Address. 5 p.m. Dispersal. SATURDAY EVEN IN G 7.30 p.m. Gamplire programme. !) p.m. Dispersal prayer. Taps. SUNDAY MAY Gth <).30 a.m. Parade at Ramson and Rac's. 9.45 a.m. March to Grand Theatre. SCOUTS OWN 11 a.m. Dismissal after return march. 2 p.m. Trip to Ohope Beach. Alternatives: (a) Tramp to Otirawaircre Bay; (b) Games on Beach; (c) Climb to Maori Pa site, brief historical talk.

The mustering point, on Saturday morning s should it be wet will be the Winter Show where further instructions will be issued Scouters conccrnihg the .conduct of the Rally.
