Books Wanted
Books are urgently wanted i'or New Zealand's lighting forces overseas, and the people, of Whakatane are asked to help by contributing whatever they can. Modern and interesting books are required both cloth and paper covered but not old magazines and weekly papers. Arrangements have been made for High School boys to collcct on Fri-> day next, and any person who has a book or books they would like to donate are asked to tie them up in q bundle and have them ready for the collectors. As any returned soldier ran bear out waiting time, when the fighting erases can become very monotonous especially for those men w-lio are lohd of reading.
