Abnormal Apple Crop
Following the recent paragraph in this paper describing a second crop of Irish Peach apples grown: by a local resident, a story from Ohope goes one further. We were visited by a lady resident of that resort who has hitherto lived in Rotorua. She has been amazed at the fertility of the Bay and particularly so at the early crops which can be grown at Ohope. Her story concerns an early variety apple which;when 7 planted at Ohope last. October; blossomed and fruited early. Iramediately threw out new arid fruitcjil late in the an<| now -Li, for a; third time has astounde'd her by blossoming again. How's that pixjß f / ' V" -•/*
