RANGITAIKI SUB-UNION
PROSPECTS FOR NEW SEASON
At the annual meetifig of the Rangitaiki Rugby Sub-Union the Presi- i dent ) Mr F. J. Burt, gave a full report on the past year's working. Although a slight debit -was shown on the balance sheet the standard f of club football had been good with five senior teams and six, Junior teams competing.. The senior representatives were narrowly beaten for the Hurunui Apanui Shield and the juniors made a strong bid for the Shalfoon Shield. He mentioned that a number of players who had participated in the - Sub-Union games prior to going overseas had received military decorations and he extended the Un-- ' ion's congratulations to them. He also expressed the sympathy of the ' Sub-Union to the parents of those. .7? players who had made the supreme, .7? sacrifice during the present war- = The officers elected for the prc.7 sent season were: President '-Mr F.
