SUM OF £66 RAISED
Supporting Baby Boulden in the Te Teko Baby Contest a most enjoyable and very successful garden party was held recently at "Almadale," the home of Mr and Mrs Jaques, Galatea Road Te Teko. Commencing at 1.30 p.m. the grounds were soon filled with chatv ter and laughter visitors keenly entering aiul competing in the various competitions while on the lawns others were entertained by the games, which kept those in charge extremely busy throughout the afternoon. The bran tubs were quickly demolished. Attractive, on the grounds were the produce stall with its wide variety of produce and the ice cream and sweet stall. The magnetism of the raffle stall was irresistable to most. Enjoyed by many was the wellcooked liangi, and by others light afternoon teste.Beautiful lawns and gay flowers added greatly to the attractions of some well rendered items given by local Maori talent. The. proceeds from the afternoon amounted to £66. Appreciation is extended by the committee to Mr and Mrs Jaques for the use of their garden which was looking its best on an ideal day.
