TE TEKO FARMER FINED
HEAVY GROWTH OF RAGWORT
A line of £3 and costs 31s was imposed on William Evans owner of 42 acres of land at Te Teko which he had failed to clear of ragwort, by Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Wha'katane Court last Tuesday.
Inspector Carling in evidence said that despite warnings defendant had made, no effort to clear the land which was badly infested. He had made several visits to the area part of which was an old maize paddock( which was. a definite menace to adjoining properties. No attempt had been made to comply with the terms, of the notice, and upon its expiry action had been taken.
A line as above was imposed
