Mr John Shannon, advance manager of the touring Civic Wintergardens Orchestra is at present in Whakatane arranging for the band on April 17. Chief Judge Shepherd of Wellington, Under-Secretary of the Native Department, Judge Harvey of Rotorua. President of the Waiariki Maori Land Board and Mr C. V. Fordham of Rotorua f Registrar of the Native Land Court who have been in Whn- } katane on Departmental business left during the week-end for Tauranga.
