GARDEN PARTY
EDGECUMBE PLUNKET EFFORT SUCCESSFUL . SOCIAL The beautiful shady grounds of Mrs C. 11. Wilson's were the scene of much activity last Tuesday when the Edgecumbc Sub- J branch of the Plunket Society held its annual Garden Party. The weather was ideal for such a gathering and everyone seemed to be in the gayest of spirits. The amusements went with swing from 11 a.m. on tennis, nail driving quoits and clock golf finding many 'competitors. The feature of the day was the excellent lunch served by the ladies of the committee. It was very much . enjoyed by all." The ladies deserve the greatest credit for the very able manner in which they organised the event. The cake and produce stall did a brisk trade from start to finish,, much credit being due to the able management of. two of the committee members. The branch benefited to the extent of £32. Much praise is due to Mr and Mrs C. R. Wilson, for having the garden in such perfect condition for* the occasion. The Edgecumbe Branch expresses its appreciation of all who assisted in making the day such a success.
