WJLSON—WOOLFIELD

The Waimana Church was the scene 5 of a very pretty wedding on Tliurs- "° day ? March Ist, when Margaret El--1: eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs E. P. Woolfield, was married to Brian Raymond v eldest .son oi' Mr and Mrs V. Wilson, of Waiotahi. The Rev. K. Liggett of Opotiki and Miss Patricia McCon. Nell played the wedding music.. The church had been beautifully decorated with white lillies and greenery r by girl friends of the bride. The bride who was escorted by her wore a charming circular scalloped trained gown of ivory satfashioned on slim fitting lines. The bodice was long and tight fitis ting 5 with a 'V' neck-line. The .sleeves were full length and finished with points over the wrist. A full length veil v.-as caught to the head with sprays of orange blossom while silver .shoes were also worn. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white carnatioiiSj begonias, lillies and maiden-hair fern. Tlie three bridesmaids were Miss Francis Woolfield (sister of the ls bride) ? who-wore an apricot taffeta frock and Miss Helen Woolfield (another sister) who was frocked in pale green taffeta, and Miss Shiela Wilson (twin sister of the liridegroom) who wore daffodil taffeta. All frocks were full length and fashioned on similar lines to the bride's.. Large bows oj' toning taffeta and gold shoes completed the s e charming ensembles and all carried pretty posies of flowers of blending s tones., The bridegroom was I by Mr D. Bennett as best man whilst the groomsmen were Mr W.' Smeed and Mr H. Edward. A reception was held in the Waimana where several hundred guests were received by Mr and Mrs assisted by Mr and Mrs Wilson. Mrs Woolfield wore a smart wedgewood blue frock, relieved with cherry embroidery. Her bouquet was of cherry tonings. Mrs mother of the briden groom, wore a smart bJack and white ensemble with black accessories and carried a posy of autumn tonings. Ihe hall was beautifully decorated with flowers. The handsome threetiertul cake took pride of place on. the bridal table. The usual toasts were duly honoured while the best man read the contents of a large sheaf of telegrams. The happy couple later left by car for their honeymoon 7 amid showers oi confetti and good wishes j Mrs Wilson travelling in a powder blue frock with coat to tone, and navy hat and accessories. Mr and Mrs Wilson were the recipients of many beautiful gifts and cheques. Relatives oi both families came some distance to be present at the these included the bridegrooms grand parents Mr and Mrs Wihon ? ol Opotiki. In the. evening a happy after wedding dance was held, when Mr and Mrs Woolfield entertained ad guests and friends.
