Cemetery Work

At the. Borough Council meeting the chairman reported that completion! of constructional and establishment work at the Whakatane Hill Cemetery had been held up on account of the shortage of labour. To complete the establishment certain concrete paths and other small works were necessary. It was resolved that concrete, paths to an estimated cost of £80 be proceeded with and that the other necessady establishment works be put in hand. It was also decided that a sign should be placed on the western gate designating the area and that a parking sign be provided for the guidance of vehicles at the hill top.
