WE feel that in all fairness to Mr J. L. Burnett, county chairman, we must criticise the remarks of Mr Poison, M.P. when lie condemned the County Council for merely suggesting that the possibility of interest-free money should be investigated. The council has never at any point of its deliberations given anything but a fair and reasonable ear to the suggestion, and Mr Burnett conveyed its attitude'in a clear and concise manner. Mr Poison's somewhat biting remarks, were in our opinion ill-timed and utterly unwarranted.
