AUTUMN CATTLE FAIR
The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile AgeiK'j- Co. Ltd. report having held their Autumn -Station Cattle Fair at Whakatane on March 14. The offering was over the advertised number, there being 1750 yarded, and a total clearance was effected. There was a strong representative attendance of buyers from outside, districts. All cattle came forward in first class condition, and competition lor all classes was keen, prices realised being well up to those ruU ing in other districts: — Fat bullocks £13.155; to £15 ss; fat cows £9 to £10 10s; coloured fat steers £9 to £12; 3*4yr P.A. steers £10 to £13 Is; Hereford steers- £9 10s to £13; 2 1 / oyr H. and P.A. steers £9 to £11 ss; 18 months steers £6 10s» to £8 18s; P.A. and Hereford cows £6 to £10 2s; heifers £7 to £10> 17s; 18 months heifers £5 to £7; cows and calves £(5 to £9.
