INDOOR BASKETBALL
NATIONAL SET OF RULES
A recent conference in Wellington for the discussion of national rules for women's, indoor basketball was attended by Mrs M, Wilson (Southland),, Miss L. Rosoman (Wellington), Miss J. Thomson Mrs. J. Roinson (Hamilton), Miss L. Clapham (Hawera), .Miss J. Smith (Morrinsville) and Mr D. 11. Wills; (National representative of the Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A. teams). Mrs R. Meek (Wellington) was in the chair. As this game has grown rapidly in importance during the last two years it was felt that national rules were needed as a preliminary to provincial and national championships. Although Gisborne ? Auckland and Nelson Ave re not •represented directly they indicated that they were prepared to adopt the decisions of tliis conference. A thorough discussion resulted in the adoption of a national set of rules. The delegates expressed their belief that the game eoukl now moA T e ahead and become one of the important sports for women throughout the Dominion.
