Help for Polish Children
It is stated by Countess. Maria delegate of the Polish Red Cross in New Zealand that it is hoped to find 100 New Zealanders Avilling to take Polish children now in camp at Pahiatua for the May holidays. She also says that another avenue by which the children can make personal acquaintanceships with New Zealand, children is by pen friendships. This had hitherto been impossible, because the child-* ren did not know any English but now they had excellent teachers and 350 were of suitable age for writing letters. It would be a valuable beginning if each centrc of such youth organisations as the Junior Red Cross Society, Boy Scouts, and Girl Guides adopted one pen-friend each.
