Fishy—! And talking of fish, we saw quite a nice lorry load being trundled along the Strand on Tuesday night. Thoughts of the high price of fish and the Bluff wharf ess striking on account of it and all sort's of iishv tales ran through our heads and we hung around in case some hijacking might, occur. Not in the least. No angry mob shaking battens and stakes and lists and all over and everything gathered to block the path of the (ish truck. No howling rabble stormed the vehicle and swooped down on the fillet. No guns blazed; in fact nothing at all happened so the only conclusion we can come to is lhat \Y hakatancUes are either perfectly satisfied will', t ho. price of fish or eUo all have shares in the iisl\ market !
