Preparedness

With the weather this past week apparently having been unable to make up its mind whether to stay fine or change to showery, residents of Whakatanc have been a little chary about venturing too far from home without a raincoat. Some ol the braver spirits set out each day for work minus a coat and trust to luck while others of the more cautious nature scan the sky before setting out and may be seen cn route for their place of daily toil equipped for any type, of weather. Knowing the way in which the Bay of Plenty seems to enjoy suddenly springing a shower on people at the most inconvenient, and unexpected moment, we venture, to state that "when antarctic conditions do set in they will find no one prepared.
