ACTIVITIES AT EDGECUMBE

' The monthly meeting of the. Edgecumbe Red Cross Committee which was presided over by Mrs Roberts } was held in Bell's Hall on Wednesday February 7. The. minutes were read by the. secretary, Mrs Jesper. sen ? and correspondence dealt with. The monthly Red Cross, magazines were distributed to members.

Ten pounds " of peaches were brought and sold by a member and the amount, realised was added to the petty cash. Infant layettes were given out to each member to make up and return next meeting.

It was agreed to buy and make a donation of a pair of double blankets to a necessitious case in the district.

The annual meeting ol' the Edgecumbe Red Cross will be held in Bell's Hall on March 7, and all members are requested to be present.
