WEDDING BELLS

BATY—FOWELL

A very pretty wedding of considerable interest lo?aily took place, on December 22 last when Mabel Violet (laughter of Mr and Mrs> T. Fowell Ruatoki, was married to Donald son of Mr arid Mrs J. Baty, Awakcrij in the Anglican Churchy Taneatua. The Rev. J. C. J. Wilson officiated. The bride who was given away by her lather was gowned in a becoming cyclamen frock with accessories to and was attended by her sister Miss Jill Fowell as bridesmaid » J who wore pale blue with toning accessories. Little June Knox, Avho wore a neat pink frock attended as flower girl. The bridal" bouquet was of sweet peas ; carnations and maidenhair fcrn ? whilst the flower girl carried a tiny basket of summer flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Ken Sisam. Both were in uniform. After the wedding cgromony a reception was held in the Taneatua Hall 5 where Mrs Foweli received her guests in a neat frock of floral stilt with black tonings and - sweet pea shoulder spray. Mrs Baty wore navy and white with shoulder spray of autumn tints. Mr J. Newdick carried out the duties of toitstmaster in an efficient manner and saw to it that the company was kept in excellent humour throughout the long toast list. The handsome two-tiered cake was the artistic work of Mrs Frost. Later Mr and Mrs Baty left on a tour of. the north.
