"DISCONTENT"
From Eden's fateful apples To the most, recent event Humanity has been spurred along By the Heels of discontent. That unsatisfactory feeling Of being on the shelf While the world goes by unheeding The discontent with self Oftimes has proved a blessing An angel in disguise Revealing to the simple Truths hidden from the wise. Healthy dissatisfaction With conditions as they are Looking for something better With hope for a guiding star, That a brighter better future Will redeem* the faulty past And a faith that will not falter To nail colours to the mast. The dire dissatisfaction Of much grasping for more Has v caused calvaries of anguish And seas of tears and gore. A discontent with evil And sincere, desire for good Will house and clothe the Nations And give them health and foodt Then humanity with gratitude V Its hearts and eyes will lift j To Him who. is the giver i Of every perfect gift; j Whose ommiscient immutable! All comprehending mind 1 Always is. too wise to err Too good to be unkind. H. SERGANT.
